The British EGP
The year 2018 event will be held at:
Old Combination Room (OCR)
on Saturday 17th @ 0930 & Sunday 18th February @ 0900
An eleven round Swiss-system is run with seven on the Saturday (three morning and four afternoon) and the remaining four on the Sunday morning. The top two players from that then participate in a final and the next two in a 3rd/4th play-off, both on the Sunday afternoon. This allows those players who don’t make these matches and have a long way to travel to leave at 1 o’clock on the Sunday. Entry fees for the event are £15 waged, £5 unwaged. Please note: Play on the Sunday starts at 0900 when clocks will be started – players have lost on time due to turning up late on previous occasions. Different formats will apply for 10 or fewer players.
